Ministry of economic development: funding for innovative projects in the field of cultural heritage sites
The Ministry of Education, in agreement with the Ministry for Economic Development invests € 14 million in favor of SMEs and innovative start-ups in the field of culture and cultural heritage of Convergence Regions (Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily). The line Culture Impact Increased, the invitation Startup 2013 offers you access to funding of up to € 1,200,000 for the development of products and services capable of enhancing goods and cultural sites by stimulating new businesses.
Project proposals must be geared towards the development of products and services (industrial research) capable of allowing fall into one of these areas:
Digital cultural heritage, introduction of technological solutions that allow for the digitization of cultural heritage, and to increase the enjoyment;
Making and design, development of products and services from cultural production processes and innovative craftsmanship of modern digital design applications (interaction, product, customized, open) through the creation of structures for digital manufacturing;
Cultural spaces 2.0, ie projects aimed at the development of technological solutions for the enhancement of goods and cultural sites.
Individual projects will be developed making use of the free combination of techniques and technologies of visual and interactive experiences (virtual environments, 3D animation, visualization and real-time interaction, etc.)., Productivity and intelligent automation (semantics, artificial intelligence, interactive 3d printing , etc..), digital distribution, mobility and interoperability (software development, mobile geolocation, compression and decompression of data, etc..).
Be eligible for funding micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the Convergence Regions (Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily) for single or associated with each other. Businesses must be active for less than 6 years.
The proposals may include, but are not necessarily, involve universities, research centers, public and private, government, and corporations. In the case of large firms, the latter will need to ensure coverage of 60% of the construction costs of the interventions.
Each project must include a minimum cost € 400,000 and maximum amounts to € 1,200,000 for:
personnel costs;
costs of instruments and equipment to carry out the research project;
costs of advisory services;
cost of land and buildings for the duration in which they are used for the research project;
overheads.
Applications must be submitted through the portal Sirio by 17.00 on 10 May 2013.
